Great antique furnishings, location and having a pub with drinks and a good old fashioned English breakfast was definitely a bonus!
Could be modernized a little but I can't hate on this place for that. It was great value for money!
Exellent value,a fantastic view from our window, good food, polite and helpful staff, great location everything nearby
nothing to not like about
The size of room we had and wonderful view most empress
The view was amazing, all though there was a bit of pub noice it was annoying and seemed to cut off around 11, room we were shocked did not expect it to be as good as it was, highly recomend
Good location, cheap food, nice view, room
The location is good, in centre of town and handy for everything. Some staff very friendly. Large room. Great shower. Good breakfast at fair price. Fantastic view from terrace.
In room 3. Barely slept for 5 nights. Road noise, sporadic machine noise like a lift, deliveries from 5.30 noise, bottle emptying noise, you name it, noise. Do not get room at front! Room so hot, even when only 15 degrees outside. Whole room could do with a good clean - heavy dust on mirror frame, carpet not vacuumed (the leaf I noticed on Monday was still there on Friday), bathroom grouting needs a clean up.
Room was a decent size. Facilities to make drinks were good.
The location of my room meant I could hear the kitchen air con quite loudly.
The food was excellent as were the staff. The valley view a definite. Great location for the Malvern Theatre/cinema, and a short drive to the Morgan factory, for tours.
Our room 7, was fine except that it was a little too close to the hotel reception and stairs. If you have a problem with hills, the Foley Arms or Malvern, is not for you unfortunately.
excellent location - nice room with large en suite - fantastic views - good food and drinks at very reasonable prices
bed creaked a bit
Staff were helpful - had arranged valley view room easily accessible from reception at first floor level. View wonderful. Room comfortable - had seating as well as bed. Water supplied in room as well as coffee tea. Would stay again as a lovely place to sit and look at the view. Enjoyed the breakfast egss royale - poached eggs done perfectly and a generous helping of smoked salmon
Right in the centre of Great Malvern. Very clean and nice looking hotel. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Would I stay again? Yes but would ask for a room at the back of the hotel.
There is no car park! We had to park in the town car park 10 mins walk away. There is no lift so had to drag suitcases up and down 4 flights of stairs. REALLY hot in warm weather. Ask for a room at the back of the hotel as you will not be able to sleep with the window open due to noisy revellers from Wetherspoons pub and taxi rank on main street below.
THE GENERAL AMBIENCE WAS VERY GOOD.
TOO MUCH STREET NOISE AND ROOM WAS TOO WARM AT NIGHT SO THE WINDOW HAD TO BE OPEN. WE MENTIONED THIS TO RECEPTION AND THEY EXPLAINED ABOUT THE BUILDING BEING LISTED ETC.
The room design was good, loved the mirror! And the bed was very comfy. Also liked the addition of a fan in the room.
Double glazing as could hear alot of shoutin in the streets but this was only till about 1am and i did expect this when booking so wasnt really an issue for me.
This is a 'no frills' 'Inn', and it should be remembered you have a room in/above a pub. Not knocking that, if that's what you like. I understood there to be free wifi available, but there was no information relative to this in the room.
Our room was lovely & spacious with a great view. Very comfy beds.
Just a bit noisy as we were over the bar area Parking is a steep waik but we were warned!
